Ravi Verma is an honest and diligent Inspector who lives with his wife, daughter, and brother Raghuveer. Ravi and Raghuveer are brothers with a very strong bond and both are extremely close to each other. However, there bond weakens because Raghuveer often gets into fights. Raghuveer can't stand injustice and when he watches injustice done to his professor, he fights for him. This gets him into trouble and his law career is jeopardized. Raghuveer is falsely accused for beating the professor when it was Bitoo who beat the professor. After this point, Raghuveer and his gang of 4 people start fighting for the weak people. This is when Raghuveer and his ideals clash with the villains Sevakh Rao, Niti Ram, and Ganpath. Initially, Raghuveer manages to defeat the forces of the sinister villains. However, he is again falsely accused for murdering Ganpath. This time, Raghuveer is tortured in prison in front of his own brother as Ravi misunderstands him too. The poems get published, and Aman becomes very popular. One of his fans is a young woman by the name of Pooja Saxena (Madhuri Dixit), who corresponds with Sagar. Akash meets Pooja and falls head over heels in love with her. When Aman comes to know this, he asks Akash to pose as Sagar, which he does, and Pooja and Akash fall in love with each other. A heartbroken Aman looks on, as he knows that although women may like his poetry, they will never come out openly and love him when they see his handicap. At the end, Akash discovers that Aman is actually Sagar and loves Pooja, so he decides to sacrifice his love for Aman.

Advocate Raghunath Mishra has arranged the marriage of his daughter, Dolly, with Rajan, knowing fully well that Dolly loves Omkara Shukla. Omkara realizes that he may have blundered in having Keshav succeed him, as Keshav is unable to control his temper when under the influence of alcohol, which puts him in the bad books of Omkara. Then Omkara suspects that Keshav is having an affair with Dolly, as both had been fellow-collegians. With Omkara's marriage with Dolly getting close, he asks his other lieutenant, Ishwar Tyagi, to obtain proof of Keshav's affair with Dolly or face the consequences, as Omkara remembers Raghunath's warning that when a daughter is not true to her father, she will never be true to anyone. Durga (Amisha Patel) is a beautiful blind woman with a talent for shaping pottery. She is poor, and lives with her widowed mother in a simple home. Dr. Prasad takes her with him to live in Switzerland and this is where multi-millionaire Raj (Bobby Deol) enters her life and wants to marry her. Dr. Prasad persuades her to let go of Babu's memory and marry Raj, which she does. At their engagement party, Raj's friend, Rohit, who was missing in India, is found. His appearance disrupts Durga's life as she thinks that her Babu has returned back. Rohit however recognize her and convinces her that her "sir" where in Babu has returned. On a coincidence Raj comes to know of the entire pass between Durga and Babu and he decides to reunite the couple once again.

Verma contacted the police and Ajay also receives another trashing from them but Ajay escapes and throws a challenge to Chopra and Verma that he will make Ayesha become his bride within 24 hours and will strive hard to fulfill his promise. Along with the help of the college principal and students Ajay and Ayesha is finally married after a big blast with the enemies.

Vijay Singh Rajput (Amitabh Bachchan) is a quirky manager of Vilasrao Jefferson Bank. He is extremely strict at work and believes in pushing his workers to the limit. This means that his superiors hold him in high regard for his unblemished reputation and excellent track record. But things go terribly wrong for the honest bank manager when he finds one of his own employees trying to con the customers. At this, he loses his temper and gets physical with the employee. This doesn't go down well with his superiors and they decide that Rajput is now a liability to the bank and they sack him. Amitabh can't believe the Board of Directors and his mind is filled with revenge and what better revenge than robbing the bank himself, ironic as it may sound. He decides that he must think of a plan that will hit the bank where it hurts the most - in its safe where all the money is kept. Rajput blackmails Neha (Sushmita Sen) to use her professional skills to help his plan, to train three blind men to rob the bank for him. Rajput then gets together a team of three blind men Vishwas Prajapati (Akshay Kumar), Arjun Verma (Arjun Rampal) and Ilias (Paresh Rawal) who will help him obtain his vengeance and make a heap of money at the same time. After gruelling training sessions, the three succeed in robbing the bank, but things go haywire. What happens next?

The film begins when Vasudeva Shenoy (Anoop Menon), a police constable by profession, proposes to his colleague Lakshmi (Lena) with a strong objection from Vasudeva Shenoy's mother. In the meantime Kunjunni Menon (Santhosh Keezhattoor), a thief, who disguised as a police inspector, falls in love with Lakshmi. Kunjunni Menon then convinces Lakshmi and her family to agree to marriage. Lakshmi later comes to know that her husband had cheated her. Lakshmi and Kunjunni however pretend to have an amicable marriage as she gives birth to Adithyan (Dulquer Salmaan). On the same day Vikraman (Unni Mukundan) was also born to Vasudeva Shenoy and his new wife. Laksmi further gives birth to two daughters. Kunjunni gets caught by Shenoy after committing a theft and was dragged to the jeep in front of his son (Adityan). Adithyan becomes very depressed and refuses to accept his father. Kunjunni unable to face his son, commits suicide. Adityan (Dulquer Salmaan), Vikraman (Unni Mukundan) and Deepika Pai(Namitha Pramod) befriend each other as schoolmates and the story proceeds to their adulthood. Faced with many hardships, Adithyan transforms into an intelligent man. He falls in love with Deepika and she reciprocates his feelings. In a string of events, Adithyan and Vikraman are in a competition for the SI (police) selections. Shenoy frames Adithyan with a crime he didn't commit, forcing Adithyan out of the SI selections. Adithyan runs away and returns many years later. With the help of Lokesh IAS (Nivin Pauly), Adithyan becomes an IPS officer and the new Assistant Commissioner of Police of Kochi, Kerala. Vikraman takes charge as an SI and Deepika unites with Adithyan. The film ends with Adithyan and his family standing up against the people that once teased him as the "thief's son".
